Re:  Fall - 2008 Registration

Attached, please find the Fall -2008 Team Registration Form for the Nebraska Soccer League.  Please make copies for as many teams as your Club needs to register to the NSL.  Please note! A calendar has been added to the back of the form.  Please copy front and back.  Please Note!  The Team Registration Form is also available on-line.  This is preferred and a much easier way for your Coaches to register their teams.  A new item has been added to the on-line registration form.  There is now a line to include the Club Registrar, Club Director or Club Representative E-mail on the on-line form so the Club is also notified any time a coach registers a team.

The Club Information Form is no longer included in this mailing.  Please complete the Club Information Form on-line and electronically submit to the League Office.  A Club Information Form is needed from each Club so the League can keep information current.  www.nsle.com

*Team registration forms with a $550.00 deposit for each U11 - U12 team and $600.00 for each U13 – U19 team must be postmarked by July 10, 2008 in order to avoid late fees.  Late registrations will be accepted through July 17, 2008 and will be assessed a $25.00 late fee.  If the registration is late due to tryouts, the late fee will be waived.

*  Please Note!  On-line registration forms are now available.  A coach may complete the form on-line and directly submit it to the League Office.  This is the best and most efficient way to Register.  All payments still must be mailed.

There will be a breakout meeting on July 17, 2008.  The meeting will be held at the Country Inn and Suites located at 5353 North 27th Street in Lincoln.  It will be held in the "Lincoln" conference room at 7:00 PM.  The Country Inn & Suites is 1.5 miles South of I-80 exit 403 (27th Street).  This information will be posted on the League web-site.  Reminder notices will be mailed.  At this meeting divisional makeup will be finalized and distributed.  Coaches need not attend the meeting.  There will be an appeals meeting conducted by the NSL Executive Board on July 15, 2008 at the NSSA office at 7:00 PM in Omaha should anyone wish to appeal their division placement.  Division Placement can be determined by looking at the League Standings.  There is promotion/relegation for first place and last place teams. You must send in an appeal request by July 14, 2008.  The appeal request can be sent by regular mail or E-mail.  Please send to the League office as shown above.  There will be no appeals at the Breakout Meeting.  NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE BREAKOUT MEETING ON July 17, 2008.

Complete schedules for all properly registered NSL teams will be posted on the NSL Web Site by August 10, 2008.   There will no longer be a Packet Pick-up as everything will be on-line except for the Pink Game Cards and Roster Stickers.  Club Directors, and/or Registrars will be provided the individual Team Packets which will include a Cover Letter, Game Cards, and Roster Stickers.  The packets may be distributed at the Breakout Meeting or mailed shortly thereafter.  These packets should be distributed to coaches by the Club Directors and/or Registrars as soon as possible.

League play will begin on Thursday, August 21, 2008.   League play must be completed by Friday, October 31, 2008.  There will be no League games scheduled Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 29, 30, 31/Sept. 1, 2008).

Please Note!  There are three NSSA Sanctioned Tournaments scheduled during the month of October.  All three are listed on the NSL Fall 2008 Calendar on the back of the attached Fall 2008 Registration Form.  If planning to attend one of these tournaments, please specify on your registration form.  Please remember, the best and quickest way to register is by using the convenient on-line registration form.

The Nebraska Soccer League accepts all U-11 through U-19 NSSA and other properly registered teams (Iowa, etc.).  The NSL will make as many divisions as are necessary to accommodate the teams registered.  All teams will be scheduled for a minimum of seven games.  Guest Teams may be scheduled for less depending on their scheduling requests.

The NSL will be comprised of U-11 through U-19 competitive teams, boys and girls.  NSL will begin at Premier Level, then Division 1, Division 2, etc., and have as many divisions as necessary to accommodate the teams in the League.  Travel within Nebraska and Western Iowa will be required.  Neutral sites will be used for some games in order to reduce travel time.  The League also accepts “Guest Teams”.  These are teams that do not play a full Divisional schedule but wish to participate in League play.

Please mail all registrations along with the proper deposit for each team to:

Please make checks payable to:  Nebraska Soccer League

Most NSL games will be on weekends.  Many younger games (U11- U14 Boys and Girls) will be played on weeknights in the Omaha/Lincoln area.  U11 – U14 teams may be scheduled on any day.  We will try to greatly minimize scheduling any Wednesday games.  Most older teams (U15 – U19 Boys and Girls) will play on Weekends.  If you have any particular conflict with particular days, please note it on the Registration Form.  If you are an older team that is able to play weeknights, please note it on the registration form.  No matter what your conflict is, please note it and we will do our best to accommodate your team.

Please note on the registration form if there is a particular day of the week that you would not like to be scheduled for.  Also note what other conflicts you might have.  If it is known ahead of time what conflicts you may have, special request reschedules can be reduced.  I will do whatever I can to accommodate reasonable requests as long as they are stated on the registration and I know prior to the commencement of schedules.  A calendar has been added to the back of the Team Registration form for your convenience.  If form is not copied front and back, you may go to the League Web-site to view or print out the Calendar.  You may also submit your Registration directly to the League Office by using the convenient on-line Registration Form.
